New Business Project

Revolut Pitch

We are always involved in all pitch projects with our business development team, but this time the partner had a certain calibre about them which meant we had to produce something that could give the "Wow" in our pitch. As with any RFP, we had only a limited time to create something, so I decided to drive this project with the designers and help put together something that we could present that shows what iptiQ can do. The challenge was to get something created and finalised within a week for the BD team to conduct the pitch, and we were going up against many competitors_

Storyboarding

Due to our limited time, I had to bring the team together to create the best possible outcome for the video. I got various designers together to focus on certain parts of the pitch and gave them the overall goal of the impact we wanted to make for this video. Having each designer work on their sections allowed for better collaboration and for us to bring the project to its goal_

Clear Messaging

We wanted the video to communicate the right message on what we at iptiQ can offer by bringing integrations into their platform. We needed to make sure the text was sharp and to the point without too much text due to the tempo of the video

Demo of Platform

We wanted to demonstrate what our platform will look like when integrated into theirs but also ensure the users seeing the video's overall messaging is not distracted by this. We had to be clever in what sections we needed to show

Bringing it together

The team worked closely and collaborated daily to bring this video to the final version. We quickly made a storyboard to capture the main points we wanted to get across and iterated this a few times after seeing the first drafts of the video. The goal was to move quickly and repeat fast on changes we saw before showing them internally for feedback reviews_

The team quickly assembled a prototype and created the video's basic layout. This velocity was due to having a small group to work on this and for creative freedom to flow in this project without going through many stakeholders_

After the first draft, we noticed many changes that needed to occur. The team were able to agree on points that needed to be changed very quickly and even aligned on the artistic direction of music and cutscenes by adhering to the goal we set for this video. After learning from the first draft, we were able to create the storyboard, cutscenes and timing much quicker than the previous one and started 2nd draft_

After reviewing again, I had to explain to the team what impact we wanted to make with this video and how the track's tempo would play a pivotal role in messaging and transitions. The team went back to the initial scope and made more changes. The video below is the final outcome of their work_

What We Learned

We were able to test this internally with our UX team and other members of the company before we finalised the video. We took a lot from this project, and below reflects our learning from creating a project in such a time_

Moved quicker

By having a small team to collaborate, we could make decisions faster and quicker and have less time to align with everyone

Setting the scene

By having the team focus on the project's goals, everyone aligned on what we wanted to achieve and strived to make that "wow" factor

Use the time

We knew we didn't have time and couldn't get a golden product, but we focused on the primary outcomes we wanted from the project, which was how we used our time efficiently

Get Feedback

We constantly gave feedback as a small team, which was shown and delivered in the final project. The key to this project was a small group that could communicate this quickly
